Over at the Google Mobile Blog, they've posted a video (see below) that walks you through some of the pre-installed applications - Google and otherwise - pre-installed on the Android-run Google G1. On the Google side, you've got Search, Maps (with Street View - cool), Gmail with Contacts, Calendar, Google Talk, and YouTube.

The video explains how there's a single login to gets you into all of the Google apps. So you don't have to login every time you access one. All Google apps on Android are synchronized to the Web, so the data on your phone automatically matches the data on your desktop and vice versa. It also means all your Google-related data is backed up.

A feature called the Status Bar is sort of the Today Screen of Android. Swipe the Status Bar with your finger to update all your Google apps, without the need to check them individually.

The video also shows you how you can secure your G1 by simply inputting a pattern with our finger on the touch screen. You must repeat the pattern unlock the device.

In related news, T-Mobile's G1 site has gone live. It contains load of info on the new phone, including a video of the press conference announcing it.

The site is also where you can pre-order the G1 for $179.99 with a two-year agreement. T-Mobile promises it'll be delivered to your door as early as October 22nd.
