So, I have combed through all of the promo material for T-Mobile G1 and can't find a list of features it doesn't offer; the promo materials fail to answer if the G1 can do the following often necessary functions:1) It would still be helpful if the G1 could be used as a modem for my work laptop to connect to the internet.
2) It is helpful to create and edit Microsoft Applications, ie. Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc.
3) I'm glad that it uses a SIM card, it makes it easy for travel. Is it Quad-band?
4) In what way is this operating system more secure?
5) I love that it has a 3 megapixel camera, but can it handle video conferencing, video record, video playback and send?
6) Does it sound like the person using the phone is speaking from a tin can?
7) How well does speakerphone work?
8) Can one record voice memos?
9) How much memory does it offer? Is it expandable and to what extent? Can we use a USB thumb drive to store large files?
10) How cleanly does it operate - how frequently does it crash?
11) How well does Skype Pro run on this phone? (In other words, how fast do the processors run?)
All very, very important.
