The folks over at the Boy Genius Report have gotten their hands on what appears to be a draft press release announcing the launch of the BlackBerry Bold - RIM's first smartphone for GSM carriers with 3G technology.

As you can see from the title, "AT&T Celebrates 'Octoberfast' With Debut of BlackBerry Bold" (Octoberfast - come on now.), it doesn't appear the new BlackBerry will ship this month as was hoped. The press release says AT&T will launch the Bold nationwide on "xxxxday, October xx," which doesn't narrow down a ship date all that much beyond the month of October.

It does confirm the price for the Bold, however. Expect to pay $299.99 with a service agreement for RIM's newest BlackBerry, which is already available in Canada and other markets around the world, when it is finally launched here.
