Visual Voice Mail Comes to Verizon

By Amy Mayer
August 26, 2008

The new LG Voyager is now available from Verizon with Visual Voice Mail.

This enhancement to basic voicemail means you can manage your voice mail messages to prioritize the order you hear them in, to forward something on to a colleague, to send a reply and to delete the no-longer-relevant messages without having to hear them again. You can also reduce the amount of time you spend listening to that voice mail voice tell you what your options are.

Verizon is charging $2.99/month for Visual Voice Mail and indications are that the carrier will make it available on other new phones as they come down the pike. Some existing LG Voyagers can be upgraded to Visual Voice Mail, but you'll have to take it to a Verizon Wireless store to get the fix.
