The iPhone is slowly finding its way into the enterprise. There's been a lot of hype regarding Exchange and Notes support in this setting, but not much has been heard regarding Novell GroupWise, until now. That's becauseNotify Technology has extended its NotifyLink Enterprise Mobility Solution, which supports GroupWise, to the iPhone.

So, in version 4.5 of NotifyLink, enterprises can now manage and provide wireless access to e-mail, calendar, contacts (personal address and global address books) and tasks to iPhone and iPod touch users in a GroupWise setting.

“Since the initial release of the iPhone last year, the GroupWise customer demand for supporting these devices with our NotifyLink Enterprise Edition has continued to escalate," according to Notify president and founder Paul DePond. “GroupWise customers will be able to choose between our NotifyLink On-Premise or NotifyLink On-Demand versions for their specific environments.”

The “On-Premise” version is for organizations who want to maintain and support their wireless e-mail and PIM synchronization on site. Whereas the NotifyLink Enterprise Edition “On-Demand” edition is hosted by Notify .
