Teen-Mobile, Parenting Watching

T-Mobile has a new strategy for parents wanting to monitor or limit their teens' mobile use. The Family Allowances option lets one person (presumably a grown-up, but we won't project) the ability to allocate the family plan time to each line on the account.

In addition to calling minutes, you can dictate the permissible number of text messages and downloads. If an errant child steps over the line, that person's phone is cut off (except for Always Allowed numbers).

You can also exert extreme control, by being the person who turns off the ringer when the child is (or should be) in class and by blocking Never Allowed numbers if you think your child shouldn't be hearing from someone. Learn more at T-Mobile here.
