Ever try Orb?
I've been streaming my music, videos, documents, photos or even my web cam for some time now using Orb Networks software, http://www.orb.com/. I can connect from any computer or my windows mobile PDA. You sign up for a free account and download the software onto your computer at home. Set the locations to where the files are located. Then on another computer or windows mobile device, log into mycast.orb.com and you now have access to all of that content at the low price of being free. There are at times issues with buffering that i've noticed, but it's hard to say if that's coming from my system at home or the network I'm using at work.

If you use FireFox on your pc and log into Mycast.orb.com, when you're streaming your music you see each song queued up to play and can move them around or delete the ones you don't want to listen to at that time. Using IE does not give you that option other than clicking the Next button to take you to the next song.

In my opinion it's worth checking out as I've been happy with it.
