Another way
I've found the easiest way to remove the sim cards from some of the models like the Bold is to very carefully grab one corner with a pair of fingernail clippers.

what a crappy article
Amy, you article says the SIM card is too easy to remove and it says it is hard to remove, stop with the trashy headline crap!

It really isn't that hard to get SIM out
If you look carefully at the side wall that the end of the SIM card is against, you'll see there a small cut-out. Using a small screwdriver or fingernail, you can push the end edge of the SIM card forward and then easily push it the rest of the way out.
