Tip: MOTO Q - Modifying Power Management

By Amy Mayer
October 31, 2008

The Motorola Q seems to default to extremely short backlight and display time-out settings. While this is excellent for power management, if you're someone who often pauses while using your smartphone, you might want a little more time.

To control the lighting, go to Settings-->More-->Power Management. Here you can adjust the time out for backlight on battery and AC and for the display. Use the up-down arrows to select a category, then the left-right arrows to change the setting.

You must press "Done" when you are for the changes to take effect.
