By James Alan Miller
Here's our question: When will AT&T start offering an upgrade to Microsoft's latest mobile-device platform for the Treo 750? Unfortunately, rumors continue to say it won't be for another few weeks—not until around September 17th.
Windows Mobile 6 should deliver much-improved Mobile Office Applications, support for HTML-formatted e-mail messages, as well as better-performance overall to the Treo 750. European Treo 750 customers will also get a Loss of System Sounds enhancement, support for 3.5G HSPDA cellular-wireless data networking, improved Calendar management with enhanced User Interface, voice command via Bluetooth, and USB cable charging. The Treo 750 Windows Mobile 6 upgrade is available to customers in the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands right away, with other European users expected to be welcomed to the party late in September. Vodafone supports the smartphone in Europe. You can download the update here. Palm cautions that Windows Mobile 6 does not support the Blackberry Connect service.
