BEWARE UPDATE!
I started the update 7/16/07 at 6:45- by 7:00PM I had a hunk of junk- PALM has NOT fixed the update- my phone is in the constant cycle loop and not fixable (their assessment). As a "courtesy" they offered me a brand new refurbished phone. Watch out!!!

Got it done . . . .
Got the update applied at the 82nd St Verizon Store in Indy (North side near the Castleton Square Mall). Took a tad longer than the 20-30 minutes - not sure why - but all was good for the most part. Seems "snappier" now. Only thing I've noticed is Google Maps does not seem to always find the data service - Blazer seems to work fine. Will be checking the BT headset functionality soon.

Verizon store disappointment
Hi,
After reading this ROM update story on a few sites, I went to a Verizon corporate store in NW Houston to get it done. They announced that they only do it for phones in inventory and not as upgrades to phones already out in the field.
Also called Verizon's tech support. They knew nothing about anyone doing it as upgrade for customer's phones.
Disappointing!
