The iPhone will require an iTunes Account. This according to an e-mail sent by Apple to those who signed up to know when the iPod/phone combo would become available. Titled "Get Ready for iPhone," the message first describes five features of the iPhone before a last paragraph labled itunes Account. Not only is the iTunes account nessesary to sync music and video, but it is also needed to syncronize calendar and contacts. The iPhone supports iCal or Entourage on the Mac, and Outlook on a PC.
