Although Apple and AT&T (Cingular) aren't supposed to start shipping the iPhone until June, you can start preparing for the long-awaited smartphone ahead of time. And we don't just mean pinching pennies to save for the $499 (4 GB) or $599 (8 GB) iPod/phone/Internet device hybrid’s asking price.

A company called E&B is already selling cases for the iPhone.

One model (see top image), called the eNOVO (now $39.95, regularly $59.95), is designed for the iPhone exclusively. It measures 4.7 x2.6 x0.9 inches (119 x 66 x 23 millimeters). Another case model, the eCopilot (now $26.95, regularly $36.95), is also compatible with the Motroloa Q and Samsung BlackJack.

Both cases are made of Napa cowhide leather and are available in black, blue, blue, red, orange and brown.

According to onerecent rumor, purchasing a case or a protective skin for the iPhone just might be a necessity. That's because a person a whole claims to have spent an extended period of time with the smartphone asserts the material used for the outer casing is pretty slippery. You don’t want your several-hundred-dollar investment to slip out of your hands and onto the floor.
