Today, during the CTIA Wireless conference in Orlando, Palm confirmed it would make an update to Microsoft's new Windows Mobile 6 Professional operating system (OS) available to Treo 750 users around the world later this year.

Meanwhile, the folks over at engadget confirmed with Cingular (AT&T) that the carrier will make downloadable updates to Windows Mobile 6 available to current subscribers with the Treo 750, Cingular 8525 (HTC Hermes), and Samsung BlackJack, starting with the BlackJack on May 26th; with a final version coming sometime in July after an eight week period of testing. No word on exactly when Cingular plans to make the upgrade available for the other two devices.
