Samsung recently released a software update for the BlackJack Windows Mobile Smartphone, which it recommends users should install.

The electronics giant says the update should enhance roaming capabilities, especially internationally. In addition, there are cosmetic user interface changes (several icons have been changed) contained within the update. According to the unwired, after speaking with Samsung America, the update rebrands sections of the interface from Cingular to AT&T, alterations to the home menu, among other changes.

Also, it is recommended you re-install Microsoft's Daylight Savings Time (DST) update, even if you've installed it already, after performing software update. Learn more about the DST upgrade here.

All in all it takes about 10 minutes to complete the ROM upgrade.

Keep in mind, however, that this update will erase all information on your smartphone. So it is recommended that you back up and sync all of the data on the handset to an external medium.
