One often difficult task for PDA and smartphone users is keeping track of the software updates made available for their devices. Palm makes this easy for its customers with a support page that'll lead to the latest patches and ROM updates available for all the Palm OS and Windows Mobile products released throughout its history; ranging from the Pilot to the new Treo 750.

The top of the U.S. version of this page, which appears to offer info for Canadian customers as well) lists the most recent support downloads for its Windows Mobile (Daylight Saving Time Update, Treo 700w/wx Sprite Backup, and Treo 700w/wx Device Reset Application) and Palm OS (Daylight Saving Time, Outlook 2007 Update, Treo 680 Camera Update) products, as well as a section called More Downloads, which currently links to Accessory drivers, Palm Desktop & HotSync Manager for Palm OS devices, and ActiveSync for Windows Mobile Devices.

Next up is a series of dropdown menus representing every series of PDA and smartphone Palm has every produced. Each menu leads to a specific device and an associated carrier, as sometimes updates differ for the same device depending on the mobile operator that offers it. So under Treo 700p, for example, you are given the option of checking for software downloads for that smartphone under Alltel, Bell, Sprint, Telus and Verizon.

Additional Palm device categories include the Treo 750, 700w/wx, 700p, 680, 650 and 600 as well as Tungsten, Zire, Palm and Visor Handhelds.
