By default, Windows Mobile Device Center uses generic images to illustrate a Pocket PC or Smartphone syncing. There's is a way to personalize this picture, however. In short, you need to change out the icon of the generic device with one of your own choosing, and place a copy in Windows directory of your handheld before connecting to Windows Mobile Device Center for the first time. Therefore you may need to remove the device and re-add it. PDAPhoneHome explains exactly how to do it.
