With Android, who cares about Palm & ACCESS now?
The energy in this space will all be around Google's Android initiative, so it's hard to find much of a reason to screw around waiting for Palm and ACCESS anymore. Are they going to open-source their Linux-based OS, and open it to anyone who wants to download the code? Certainly not by choice. That's the point, I want choices, I want progress, I want new features and support for standard technologies, and the Palm/ACCESS delay-upon-delay fiasco has driven me elsewhere. I love my Treo 700p, but I don't think I'd ever buy another Palm product again unless the OS was fully open source and I didn't have to depend on Palm to move forward and keep up with technology.
