T-Mobile to Sell iPhone Without Contract

T-Mobile Germany is now selling the iPhone without a contract. It made the move in response to an injunction Vodafone gained to prevent the carrier from selling the iPhone with a locked SIM card. And if you thought $500 was a lot to ask, T-Mobile is now selling Apple's smartphone for 999 euros, equivalent to $1,478. Before the injunction, it sold the iPhone for 399 euros with a two-year agreement, which would have cost users a minimum of 1,176 euros.
