By James Alan Miller
Apple does it for the iPod. Heck, even the normally staid RIM did it for the BlackBerry. So it would seem logical that, according to what's supposed to be a leaked inventory sheet, AT&T will introduce a "Deep Red" colored iPhone in time for the holiday season.
Is red the first of many new colors available for the iPhone? There's now way to tell right now. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
As you can see from the screen shot (originally posted on the blog Engadget), the supposed stock sheet shows not just a 8GB red iPhone but a 4GB version as well. That's kind of strange considering Apple discontinued models with that storage capacity back when it drastically cut the iPhone's price by $200.
In addition to revealing a new more colorful iPhone, the purported AT&T inventory sheet reveals the carrier may be adding two new Sony Ericsson models, the Z750 and K850—with 3G for both and a 5 megapixel camera for the latter—to its handset lineup as well. It also lists a few additional 3G phones: the Samsung BlackJack II, Motorola Z9 slider, and LG's all-touch screen Prada. Related Links:
