E-TEN Information Systems, which introduced a Windows Mobile smartphone with a VGA (480 x 640-pixel) display earlier this year, the Glofiish X800, is, according to the Internet rumor mill, about to roll out a similar model with a slider QWERTY thumb-keyboard. If this news is accurate, then what's being called the Glofiish M800 would be the first Windows Mobile smartphone with both a keyboard and a VGA screen. In addition the features mentioned above, the Glofiish M800 will reportedly run on Windows Mobile 6 Professional, a 500MHz CPU and 256MB of ROM, and include GPS, UMTS/HSDPA 3G cellular-data networking, and two cameras. According to pocketinfo.nl, E-TEN may release the Goldfish M800 in November for between €599 and €629 ($846 to $889 going by today's exchange rate).
There's been no indication as to where this smartphone might ship, however. We’ll keep you posted.
