Vista on UMPC
Im not really too fond of Vista since it is a memory/CPU hog.

I recently purchased the Sony UX380N, completely removed Vista in exchange of Suse Linux....Boy does it fly!!!

Hmm?
I'm not sure I see the point of these. Smart, sleek, matt-black they may be, but you would only consider something like this if you were truly on the move all the time; otherwise the miniscule keyboards would make me run a mile. For a $2500 mchine to be a compromise by necessity seems pointless - I'd rather have the (now-discontinued) Vaio X505; nearly twice the weight (which is still extremely low) and size, but SO much more practical as an actual computer, rather than an overblown Palm Pilot.

Explain the point in this?
Windows Vista is Microsoft's most power-hungry OS yet; putting it on a device where Windows XP or even Windows 2000 could do the job perfectly fine while eating up less power is beyond me.

Also, running Windows Vista will make the system slower compared to Windows XP or 2000 - and for people on the move, this would be a big letdown.
