Palm Posts Software Patch for Treo 680

Shortly after Palm and Cingular started offering the Treo 680 a couple of months ago, some users started complaining about battery life. Palm has identified the culptrit and is now offering a to fix it.

It seems the Treo 680 camera suffers from reduced battey life when the camera is used. That's because the camera continues to draw power in standby mode.

While effect of the bug is only reduced battery life, Palm recommends all Treo 680 users should install the software update.

Keep in mind that this patch is only for the this particular smartphone.
