HandheldPC or not
Frankly, if the price point stays at $500 or so and comes bundled with keyboard, it would be a great device to have on the go.

Using Windows XP Tablet Edition has its pros and cons. Pros being that it can be upgraded as easily (more or less) like a notebook or desktop. Cons being that it will not have the instanton functionality of a HPC (that uses wince OS).

Further, if batt life can be upped to 8+ hrs, then it (UMPC) will definitely be a good contender for replacing not just subnotebook users but also in luring existing PocketPC and HandheldPC users onto this new UMPC bandwagon. :)
