Hewlett-Packard has posted an update to the ROM of the mid-range rx1950 and rx1955 Pocket PCs. ROM updates fix bugs or add enhancements to a handheld's flash memory.

In this case, the patch updates the devices to Microsoft Adaptation Kit Update 1.0.2. from Microsoft Adaptation Kit Update 1.0.1, a small upgrade.

It is important that you follow the installation instruction when installing the ROM update. These include disabling Standby and Hibernation modes on the host PC to prevent a critical error from occurring and not interacting with the handheld or removing it from AC power or the cradle/cable once the update has started.
