Symbian Optimizes OS for Samsung's NAND Flash

The latest version of the Symbian operating system for mobile phones now supports Samsung's NAND Flash memory as both a boot-up and storage device, Samsung said Monday.

The support will allow handset makers using Symbian OS v7.0s and Samsung's NAND Flash to design phones with features such as built-in cameras, games, video and MP3 at competitive prices, Samsung said.
