Huehnsoftware's HS-Messenger 2.0 allows users to send and receive messages over Bluetooth or infrared.


petereaston.com's BtToggle 1.5 ($10) offers Palm OS Bluetooth management in one application. It allows users to not have to go into "Prefs" and then "Bluetooth" to turn Bluetooth off, while enabling users to have Bluetooth turned on when specific applications are launched.

UTrackSys.com has released UTS Blood Pressure version 1.2. UTS Blood Pressure for Palm OS allows you to track your blood pressure and pulse. It offers various interactive charts, reports, filters, and abilities to export data to UTS database and to MS Excel through the UTS conduit.


You can now pre-order iBIZ's pocketRADIO SD FM Stereo Radio card for Palm OS PDA's at the iBIZ website.

The device allows users to program and store up to 18 FM Stations for instant recall. An Auto Scan feature helps you find new stations while traveling.


Mark/Space is selling an application, The Missing Sync ($30), that enables Samsung i330 owners to HotSync with Mac OS X, 10.1.5 or later.


AppForge has released MoreApps, a wireless software catalog for the Sony Ericsson P800. P800 users can use MoreApps to view, download trial versions, and even purchase P800 applications directly over their phone using a GPRS, dial-up, or cradle connection.


A new version of SoftMaker's Pocket PC Word Processor TextMaker ($49.95) adds compatibility with the Dell Folding Keyboard as well as the Fitaly Keyboard. It also improves the import and export of Microsoft Word and HTML documents.


Avantgo's latest beta of its client for Palm OS 5 adds support for Sony's Virtual Silkscreen for full-screen browsing on Sony devices, a new look for a few user interface elements such as home and back buttons, and, in response to user feedback, the refinement of the operation of the Palm 5-way navigator and Sony jog dial, in addition to fixes to numerous minor layout bugs.

Through the end of June, Sprint is offering $200 rebates on the Handspring Treo 300, which is normally $499.99, to customers adding service online, at participating Sprint stores or an authorized dealer. Also Amazon.com is offering an additional $150 mail-in rebate off the Treo 300.


Sony plans to release a software patch by mid April for the CLIE NX series, NXZ90 and new TG50 that will allow the handhelds to use the new Memory Stick Pro media cards.

The Memory Stick Pro format comes in 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB capacities for $150, $320 and $640, respectively. It performs significantly faster than current Memory Sticks and includes Sony's MagicGate security technology. Down the road, Memory Stick Pro promises capacities up to 32GB.


The Palm Bluetooth Card software, available on the Palm website, for the Palm Tungsten W allows the use of the Palm Bluetooth SDIO Card with the Palm Tungsten W handheld.

Jornada users are in luck. Hewlett-Packard is offering a 50% discount on 520/540, 560, 680/690/720 Jornada series accessories. So stock up on peripherals for those handhelds while they are still around.


AlphaBeta Software's TauBetaPi Advanced Explorer ($8.35) is a Pocket PC file explorer replacement. It has a number of features not found in the Pocket PC's standard issue file manager.


Dell is bundling a free 64MB SanDisk CompactFlash card with the purchase of either model of its Axim X5 Pocket PC. The Basic Axim ($250) includes 32MB of RAM and a 300MHz processor, while the Advanced ($349) version has 64MB of RAM and a 400MHz CPU.
