Sony Ericsson Opens Application Shop for P800 Smartphone

Sony Ericsson has opened an online application shop for the Symbian OS-based P800 smartphone.

At the shop, P800 users will be able to buy business and leisure applications, such as online dictionaries, games, mileage managers, games and travel guides. The Sony Ericsson application shop is built with the application provisioning solution from Handango. Other mobile operators that use Handango's technology to distribute software include Orange, Sprint, Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile and O2.

The P800 service will be available in English, German, French and Italian and support transactions in Euro, USD and GBP.
