Pocket Cook, a multi-platform recipe manger, is now available for Sony Ericson's P800 smartphone. Pocket Cook ($14.95) is already compatible with Pocket PC and Palm OS devices, as well as Windows and the Nokia Communicator.

According to the Pocket Cook website, the program turns the P800 into a cooking companion, so wherever a user is he can choose what to cook, create a shopping list, and plan menus for the weeks or months ahead. The program comes with 4000 recipes.

Other features include the ability to automatically calculate ingredient quantities based on number of servings that a users specifies, the ability to use both English and metric measurements, and nutritional analysis of every provided recipe.
