The interactive-wireless combination of the Perkins Engineering's e-Belt and Psion Teklogix netpad gives mobile workers a way to manage data and work at the same time.

The companies said the e-Belt creates a multi-positioned, stable platform at waist level to hold the netpad with its 6.5-inch display. Operators can use both hands to do a job, and retrieve, view, and record data, while standing, walking, climbing, or while monitoring or repairing equipments, or assembling complex machines. Unobtrusive while in use, Perkins Engineering the e-Belt allows the operator to secure the netpad conveniently out of the way when it is not needed. In a moment, the operator can reposition the e-Belt and access the instant-on netpad.

According to Perkins Engineering, the e-Belt is a light, strong, comfortable belt with an articulating arm to which operators attach any PDA such as Psion Teklogix’s netpad. The articulating arm attaches to the belt at waist level and allows the operator to position the netpad in a convenient viewing/operating position and work at the same time.
